My oil guage switch is leaking (pouring) oil when i crank the car. Im trying to unscrew it from the oil filter adapter assembly but i cant get a hold off it. A 1" is too small and a 1 1/4 is too big. I can get plyers on it but not enough force to turn it. It unscrews counter clockwise correct? Does it use a special type of socket to unscrew it? There are little endentures in the guage switch where the socket would go on it. Makes me think it takes a special tool... please help?

It takes a special socket to get it on and off, and shaped inside like a stopsign. buy one and your troubles are over
