My 09' P71 now has 97K on her. I hear, change to trans oil at 120K. For engine oil, I've changed it, using Kendall synthetic blend engine oil. But what about, when to change the spark plugs? Should I wait till it doesn't pass smog. Right now, she run's tip top.

Even though Ford does say to replace the spark plugs at 100K miles, I would replace the spark plugs at 50K miles. They are cheaper in the long run doing it this way to ensure that you get maximum spark. The older a spark plug gets, the weaker the spark gets, causing lower mileage and higher emissions.

It's just a SUPER-DUTY Mustang GT Sedan. 198K miles and still rolling HARD.

1997 Crown Victoria P71 SVT *** ex-US Marshall service (the CAR)
STOCK?? I bet it was modified.

13.26 @ 107.24 MPH 1/4 mi w/ me, tools, & full tank of 93 octane

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

Hey thanks for the good feedback. I remember you from last time. In which you also replied to my coolant question I posted a while back. I think you're right about replacing the plugs. When she hits a 100k. I will replace them. Unsure if I could do this myself. I was ASE certified. Back in college. Hey thanks again jdmeaux.
