Hey guys. Just got a 99 LX. Prev owner stated it had the interceptor upgrade package. Any identifying marks I can check out to see if correct? It seems to have all the bells and whistles- duel exhaust and key pad on the door. Ooo yeah can't get the hood to popp open. Help a newby out man. Lol. Just ignore. My bad. Site said there was a problem so I sis not think it went thro

if it is a police package crown vic its will the p71 in the vin number hope this helps

Thanks man. So sorry this is a double post. When I sent this one it told me there was a problem. Doesn't look like there was a problem to me. Lol. I thought I read somewhere about a citizens package that went with some crown Vic's. Kinda wish there was a delete button. O well

the lx is probably alot more comfortable than the police package thats what i have and ended up switching the interior with a grand marquis

Ya know. For a 1999 I couldn't believe ALL the technology that came with it back then. I mean heck. The temperature outside--lumbar support. It sure is a lot different than my other car. Lol

If it is a police interceptor it will have either a P71 or P74 which is the street appearance package(unmarked or undercover) in the VIN#

Incorrect, a P74 is an LX or LX Sport.
A P71 is a Police Interceptor, doesn't matter if it's a "Street Appearance Package" or not.

Thanks for the correction in identifying the differences between the P71 and p74 models, mine the P 71
