mount is made of 8" Structural C channel, 11.5# with 2" sides, bottom is equivalent to 1/4" steel, but note the side beef.
before cutting this 38" piece is 33lbs. after it was 26.
The rear 2" side was cut down to about 1.25". Just enough room to clear tranny lines
This mount does not stick out way forward of the bumper/frame.
Care on the winch mount is needed, as the fairlead bolt does need about 1" of clearance or it will touch the winch.

one more shot looking underneath, toward the driver side of the vehicle.

beginning to work on the shackle to frame attachment. 1" x 2" x 6" steel
once the 1" hole is cut, it needs to be carefully measured for the (2) 1/2" mounting holes. (the 1/2" bolts are already there as the top bolts attaching a bracket to the frame.
