Engine: 2003 Ex Limited, 6.0L Diesel 4x4 purchased 4/2012 out of Florida with 66,000 miles. Always garaged. interior exterior great condition
The ride home back to Indiana was interesting. She wandered terribly. They had 80psi in front and rear tires. Lowered to 55/60; helped but not much. I now keep my 17” tires at 65psi front and 70 rear.
Changed all fluids plus trans axel, diff fluids. New Ford oil dip stick.
New shocks, upper and lower ball joints, steering stabilizer, front sway bar end links, steering tyrod ends, drag link, steering arms and sleeves.
Roadmaster rear helper springs that will be removed when I get the new springs installed.
Magnefine 3/8" Inline Magnetic Power Steering Filter.
Hellwig 7643 – Rear Sway Bar. She tracks well but there is still a bit of axle wrap. New springs should fix that.
Ford Fuel Pressure Regulator Blue Spring Kit not installed yet.
Mohr Manufacturing Super Bumper- like it.
Magnaflow 4 In. 304 Stainless Turbo-Back Exhaust with second flow through muffler welded in behind the first muffler…the whistling turbo noise drove me nuts. Whine is still there but not as severe. Deleted Cat and resonator. There is a bump in the stock performance with this change.
4 American Racing 17” aluminum wheels
4 Monroe Magnum shocks
Change front and rear calipers, rotors, pads and ABS speed sensors from local auto parts with lifetime warranty. Something wears out I get another part NC.
New alternator and batteries.
SPYDER® PRO-YD-FF25099-1P-G2-CCFL-C - Chrome CCFL Halo Projector Headlights with LEDs G2
IPCW® - Crystal Clear LED 3rd Brake Light with Red Caps
IPCW® - Ruby Red LED Tail Lights
SCT3 tuner. Changed main drive shaft universal joints, twice. I mainly keep in stock tune. Performance tune is scary, I use the street tune when tuning is used. I haven’t done any engine work yet but did change the FICM that died 7/2014 while on vacation…grrr. I could have purchased and changed it myself for $700 less.
New Ford block heater cord; not installed yet. Hard starting last winter due to failing FICM. Starts in below zero weather now without plugging in the tape wrapped cord of the stock block heater.
Custom Diesel 6.0 EGR Basic Delete Kit, not installed yet.
I keep the ERG valve unplugged and have minimal antifreeze blow by. New higher pressure radiator over flow cap installed
SDTruckSprings 43-818 X code front and 43-1261 B code rear with full new hardware kits not installed yet, just ordered 2/24/15.
Ordered Ford Excursion Super Duty Power Heated Dual Arm Telescoping Signal Black Mirror Pair from AM-Autoparts. I do some towing for my business and have an 18’ enclosed trailer for towing mostly.motorcycles.
Using Archoil AR9100 (16 oz) - Friction Modifier every other 7500 mile oil change with Rotella T6 Syn and Motorcraft 2016 filter from Walmart.
I currently have 139,000 miles on her. There’s no reason I couldn’t put on another 100,000 miles or two in the future.
