Well I decided to hang onto my 94 - 5.0 until I die I guess and decided to put a total new AC system back in so the wife can tolerate driving it. Any tips or suggestions welcomed I have purchased most of the parts already waiting on a couple but will keep this thread up to date as to how easy or hard it goes.

I have looked and looked does anyone know if there is actually an AC Expansion valve located somewhere in my 1994 5.0 ac system...for the hell of me I can not see where one would be? I do not see any on any manuals I have found is Autozone just maybe wrong...there were none that i could find on any of the original parts is this some sort of after market thing? any help appreciated.

Maybe dealer installed only part and was maybe never used on mine maybe...?

3 times now freon has blasted into the air from the system not sure from where though, if this is because i did not install the before mentioned ac expansion valve...I did install the orifice where it directed me to but I have not come across a spot to install this expansion valve....I vacuumed the system and it works/worked holding a negative vacuum so not sure if its rising in pressure then finally escaping at a weak point somewhere... just out of the blue at engine start up is when it has happened poof, big cloud of freon leaked out then stopped when shut off....still blowing cold but I'm sure most of freon is gone. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
