The engine is a 427 side oiler. The original engine was kept by the original owner when he sold the car. The engine in the car is a repro 427 Genesis block, an authorized Fomoco replacement part made of cast iron like the original.
Heads are original C8AE 6090-J with 2.15" and 1.76" stainless steel valves. Valve springs and hardware are Comp Cams with 360 pounds on the Intake valves and 325 pounds on the exhaust at .600".
The camshaft is a Comp Cams replacement ground to the original specs except on 110 degree LSA instead of the original 114 LSA.
Stock GT-E / "PI" intake manifold C7AE 9425-A and stock Holley carburetor C8AF 9510-AD.
Stock cast iron "CJ" type exhaust manifolds. |

Color is Augusta Green Poly with Sheffield Silver lower body. All GT-E's have the silver lower body and the unique GT-E only side molding and blacked out grille trim. The hood scoop is also a GT-E only item.

I owned this '67 Cougar from about 1977 to 1983. Sold it to my brother. Bought it back in 1985.

Nice from this angle too. The Augusta green color really pops in the sun. Pictures don't show how nice it looks.

I used a set of Precision Oil Pumps end rocker support stands and thick wall shafts with the stock adjustable rockers. The pushrods were from Smith Brothers.
