Somebody made these incorrect brackets to attach the top straps to the radiator mounting bolts. You can see the correct loops that are forged integrally with the fender / lamp brackets.

Easter Sunday March 2008 = The crank broke just forward of the #4 rod journal.as I was warming the engine up preparing to go for a ride. Lucky it happened in the garage!
