This engine was built for Dan Pederson who lives in the Minn, MN area. He has a '57 Ford Custom that had a 406 in it but with problems so I talked Dan into building a fresh engine and saving the 406 for a later project. Started with a FT block, installed Pro-Gram Eng cross-bolt main caps on # 2/3/4 mains, drilled and tapped all oil galley holes and tapped for screw-in freeze plugs.Bored to 4.13", installed the 428 crank that was in the 406 block along with a new set of H-beams and a set of KB pistons. Installed 2.09" int and 1.65" exh valves in a set of C4AE-G heads that were "cleaned up" litely and topped it off with an E'bok Perf RPM 4v manifold. Comp 280S solid lifter cam and kit along with Precision rocker shafts, stands and Comp roller arms.
