stock 580cc suzuki twin cylinder, liquid cooled, piston port engine. rebuilt with wiseco pistons, re-nikasiled cylinders, 40mm Mikuni round-slide carbs, stock single pipe and silencer.
new Artco 6-post primary clutch with Black Magic cam arms and spring;
modified Arctic Cat secondary clutch with roller conversion and Black Magic helix;
stock chaincase with 20:39 gearing;
stock 9-tooth internal drivers.
I built the tunnel from scratch myself; all the suspension parts were sandblasted and painted fourescent green;
I replaced the stock steel skis with new Arctic Cat ZR-style plastic skis and carbide runners.
I shimmed both the front shocks to keep the belly higher in the snow;
I fabricated new brackets for the rear suspension arm, to lift the tunnel about 4 inches for better deep snow performance.
the track is a Camoplast 1.5x136 Challenger, with stock 6" rear idler wheels.
I removed all but two inner idler wheels off the skid frame to save some weight.
I got my new Powder Special 600 EFI in Jan of 2000, and I've never ridden this sled since!
