this is the floor connector view of the power seat motor harness, this connector type and wiring color codes didn't change from 1999-2008.

this is the 2003 RH seat custom connector view, you won't find this in the wiring diagrams manual published by Ford or anywhere else but here.
I will only be using pins 7, 11, 13 and 14 only from this harness.

stock wiring harnesses.
extra color coded powerseat wiring (10 wires).
RH powerseat door mounted switch.
i used.
2003 donor LH P71 stock wiring harness.
2004 donor LH LX stock wiring harness.
10 feet of extra door wiring for the passanger side install and a 2001 RH 8-way powerseat door switch.

2003 connector view. left to right
1. side air bag module impact (2 wire connector)
2. basic seat connector (14 wire connector)
3. power seat connector (6 wire connector)

install the powerseat wiring harness though the black wiring runner, make sure you have enough to stick out to make your connection to the door mounted switch wiring harness.
|
|
|
use this area pictured at the end of the wiring runner where the kick panel would go, for the ground wire 57 (BK) and tap into power from the police trunk release button located below the raido, wire 517 (BK/WT).
NOTE: that wiring off to the left is the police wiring.

powerseat wires are installed to the end of the wiring runner with enought sticking out to make another connection to the door wiring, that is being installed in this picture.
|

|
running the wiring though the door. there is an empty spot in the rubber to run the harness remove both ends and pushing it though the rubber, the wiring will come out behind the grounding point kick panel area.
|
|
|
connect the two wiring harnesses under the kick panel area and make sure to ground the two black wires and get about 3 feet of wire to tap into a power source (power at all times).
make sure to disconnect the battery before you tap into power and do not connect it back until you have the seat wiring finished.

the seats couldn't be rewired, airbag light kept coming on. so i removed the whole 2007 passenger seat wiring harness and parts (seatbelt and occupant mat) and made a 'hybrid' 2003 seat.

the 2007 RH passenger seat wiring harness that will be removed, and I'll also be removing the whole occupancy sensor pad. Both will be installed into the 2003 LX RH seat.

the 2003 LX passenger seat before. be gentle to the LX seats when removing the harness and use a soft mallet to stick the plastic retainers in place once the 2007 parts are in place.

this is the problem source, the 2003 LX restraint control module. drill out the two rivets and remove the module.
|
|

on the left is a 2007 passanger side seat belt buckle and a 2003 passanger side on the right, as you can see another problem, you will need to keep and install the 2007 seat belt buckle into the 2003 seat.

wiring is in place and lined up over the 2003 harness. i didnt remove the 2003 harness and the seat still functions 100% stock with both in place as seen above.

2007 restraint control module riveted in place to the 2003 LX seat frame in the same spot as the 2003 RCM was in.

old 2003 restraint control module and some tools used. I had to drill out the rivits and re-rivit the 2007 module to the 2003 seat frame.

2007-to-2003 LH custom wiring harness. the harness was made with a 2003 male (floor) and 2007 female (in seat) donor harness. making it possible to switch back to 2007 seats without any problems if better seats become available.
NOTE: all colors and wire counts will match up. this is the method used for the LH 2003 seat in a 2007.
