installed-2.jpg It's very common for the pinion nut (center of the flange or yoke) to get loose over the years, resulting in noise, vibration, wear, and ultimately damage to the ring & pinion gears, if not the whole rear end (due to impacts & metal shavings in the bearings).  So it should be checked at least every 3 years.  But it's very complicated to adjust it properly, so let a pro decide if it can be re-tightened, or if parts need to be replaced.

This Right brake cable is new & surprisingly inexpensive at the parts store.
