The top box has friction slides, and the drawer lock is at the rear of the top bay. The key only directly locks the top bay & the center drawer. Most drawers have undersized foam liners.
There are plenty of small scratches, chips, scrapes, scuffs, dings, & other signs of professional use for ~20 years, but they're both still in great condition for work or home tool boxes. They're keyed alike, and I have 2 keys.
