This is how the newer gauges sit in the old cluster. Yes, that's a green pen cap on the SELECT button, and yes, it required drilling the cluster lens for access to them. The pen cap is just an extension - I have to use a tool to press the RESET button, but I wanted the security of knowing it wouldn't get pressed accidentally.
