Hi
This is my first post. I would like to know anyone\\'s opinion regarding cold start issues.
I only encounter this problem infrequently.
bellow -15c I have this issue.
The CV will start and idle for a short duration, sometimes it will be up to 2 minutes before it stalls.
fuel pump runs, I have cleaned the MAF.
I am lead to believe the IAC is dirty and struggles to keep the engine running in the dense cold air.
sometimes I can get it warmed up to operating temperature and the problem goes away. Usually, by keeping the revs above 1500 until the engine warms up... other times I don\\'t get the chance to keep it going and I\\'m stuck in the cycle of starting and stalling after a few seconds.
The Cv will die on the road and in the yard if you can\\'t get it warmed up before heading out.
does anyone know what I\\'m talking about and could offer their 2 cents on the situation? It\\'s more a |

100% not the IAC valve, you don't have one.
2005+ Idle Air Control is in the computer program for the car since it's electronic throttle. |

Yes, it's electronic. I might have to remove the valve and clean it.
if that solves the problem. I am not sure just yet. its only a problem some days bellow -15c
Its an irregular occurrence. 2 winters now I have faced this. any other time everything works fine. no stalling or hesitation whatsoever
thank you for your comment |
