I have a 2002 4X4 Lariat supercab and wish to swap out the stock goodyears for some Blizzaks or something similar which perform better on the icy stuff.
Should I go down in size if I get new rims? I don't think that the stock size is the best width/traction ratio.
For example: a buddy with a F250 swapped out his LT265/75R16 with LT235/85R16 and says they are much improved.
Thanks!

Hey Spinlator, In just about aby case the thinner the tire, the better, big fat tires just ride on top of the snow, hence, no traction. Thinner tires will dig in and get you out of the slippery stuff! Happy motoring........Darryl
