I have a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS. 91k
It has air ride and performance suspension.
There is a sound like you are running over rumble strips every now and then.
Reading on forums it sounds like it is a transmission issue.
I am looking into having the transmission fluids changed since I do not know
if it has ever been changed since I just purchased it. The question is
should I have it flushed or should the pan be dropped and the torque converter drained also? |

An automatic transmission should be serviced between 15-20K miles, pulling the pan and draining the converter.
