I bought the steering column from Speedway motors. It's a "Mr. Roadster" brand column. I went with this one because it's the same diameter as the original 54 column. The 54 had a ugly gm tilt column in it when I bought it.

This steering column is a polished stainless steel. I wanted plain steel but that wasn't available when I bought this one. They now offer a plain steel one.

The column doesn't have any turn signals so I'm just going to run a clamp on turn signal unit. This will give it more of the classic feel too.
