69 FAIRLANE FUEL GUAGE NOT WORKING!

Posted:1/19/2011 20:40 i just purchased a new sending unit and pluged it up without puting it in the tank moving the lever up and down the guage is still on E. The break lite bezel stays on and oil guage bezel flickers. Does this sound like a constant voltage regulator problem?
