04 crown victoria, 77,000 miles, we lost power steering and the air suspension light was on, interminttent compressor function, dealer diag'd as a VAPS, RAS module, got a used one from a 03 grand marquis, now i have power steering again! but still no air susp. the air susp. light is NOT on, i have bench tested the compressor it works, also the solenoid on the pump itself works, plug it into car, it never turns on, fuse is good, has power at the relay, there is continuity between the relay connector and the pump, good ground also, there is 12v power at the 86 connector of the relay, nothing at the 85, which to me is backwards from most bosch relays if i'm not mistaken, also, i can give the pump 12v power installed in the car, with the main plug disconnected, the pump runs buit does not fill the airbags, it does this with that solenoid on the pump open or closed, any insight on further diagnostic would be much appreciated, i would hate to have to take the easy road and convert to air shocks or what not

PERSONALLY, I would go to standard heavy duty shocks (AC Delco for a CVPI). Almost sounds like a ruptured airbag thats leaking. But then I never did work on diagnosing an airbag system.
