The window is riveted to the slider. Grind or drill VERY CAREFULLY! I've heard rumors that 1/4" x 1 1/4" bolts and nilox nuts can be used as replacments. We're talking in/lbs here, to much torque will make millions of small glass cubes.

The regulator has a spring on the back pushing the window up. DO NOT remove motor from regulator while still attached! this will cause the widow to be force up/out and cause damage. remove regulator form tailgate, and window. Then the motor and out of tailgate.

There are conections behind the drivers side brake light. disconect and slide threw hole towards tailgate.

Key swith mounts onto a regular Ford key cylinder. a few clips and it comes off pretty easy. most problems are broken wires, good soilder fixes most problems. But if the switch is bad, its part of the $175 harness, so get one used and soilder it on.

Wiring schematic for window, aplies to 1980 - 1986 Broncos. Ford changed the look and moved the dash switch but it works the same way.
