This is the 60-pin conector. It plugs into the EEC. Which is mounted up and dry under the dash.. After 1986 Ford mounted the EEC in the kick panel, with it sticking out the firewall. isn't that a step backwards?

My EFI harness goes in to the firewall between the throttle cable and the fuel pressure regulator. The EEC then mounts under the dash. The was all stock on the 1986 EFI trucks. I don't know why progress was to mount it outside closer to water damage in 87 and up?

Here is where the EEC mounts under the dash. It is so safe here; no side impact, water under the hood, or underhood heat will ever bother it.
