So I take the truck out of the bay, drive it down the parking lot and I let off the gas and hear the most horrible grinding noise ever. I had this before the motor/tranny swap but didnt pin it down, and hoped it was my transmission. Only happend when I coasted so I learned to drive with 2 feet since it drove fine otherwise. So I decided to have a shop look at it and in 5 seconds he said it was my transfer case which I had suspected. Here is the oil pump housing. This should be straight

The teeth on the main gear rubbed a line into that crushed oil pump housing...

The nipple broke off too somehow...forget what this is for...

Shift pads were worn out as well...cant see it from this pic however

Speedo gear was trashed as well. The bracket that holds the assemble was MIA in my transfer case, probably ground up real good in fine little bits...

All this is ground up metal still in the case after a round of parts washing. That magnetic collar was blistered and worn and was replaced.
