D44 front, caps marked.

Making a spindle nut socket.

Weldin up the socket.

Front end parts.

Bear housings.

Torque the ring on the carrier.

Pinion set up with old nut.

Checking backlash.

Installed seal and new nut.

Front end buttoned up.

New Warn hubs.

Removing rear axles. Four retainer nut.

A little light Persuasion to pull axle.

Drilled a 1/2" hole about half way thru collar.

a couple blows with a chisel and the collar split.

Rear 9" carrier.

Marked the caps.

Crush collar. torqued to 185ft lbs to achieve the correct preload on the pinon bearings.

Set preload on the carrier bearings.

Checking backlash. Little too much here.

Checking backlash again. It varied between .003 and .005 around the ring.

Installed rear carrier.

Done.

Insalled axles with the new bearings pressed on.

Breaks and drum back on.

38.5/14.5-15 TSL/SX's ready to go back on.

Ready for a test drive.

Gave her a bath.
