Hi guys. Looks like we're pretty much it for now. I just bought a nice 2-door that needs complete rebuilding. Probably go street rod with it. I love these cars.

Hey Skip,
Merry Christmas to you too. I love them too and they do not get enough credit. No offense to 55-57 Chevy's but they are always in magazines and win all the shows. It is time for our cars to shine!! I hope we can more people on here, maybe get something started. Well, take care.

Hey Skip,
Forgot to ask..what all are you going to do with it....tub it out, or? I saw a picture of a 56 two door, tubbed out, ran 10's in the 1/4 mile and sold for $29,000. It was really nice.

Thinking about a really solid cruiser.
302 HO with an AOD disk brakes (or a Tremec 5-speed), power steering and all that.
Maybe jack up the rear end with a litlle "old style" California rake.
I just bought a nice early Bronco 9" rear end with the big Torino bearings and 11" brakes to replace the old grinder.
I graduated from high school in 1963, I always loved the 55-66 Ford cars, so I guess I'm stuck in the '60's.
I just scored a nice set of T-bird hard back buckets for the front.
Maybe a little GTO Daytona blue paint, steelies with trim rings and baby moons?
What do you think?
BTW, I have a really honking '62 F-100 SWB truck with an original 390 tri-power, complete with the cast iron exhaust manifolds.
Hope some more folks join in here.

Hi
I must not be too bright! I have been trying to join the 56 Ford Fairlane club, but when I click on "Join this club" I just get a black page. ???
I am beginning restoration on a Town Sedan that I have had for about 28 or 29 years.

I have checked this forum several times since I joined, and don't see much traffic. However, in the event anyone looks at it, I thought I would give an update on my project.
I finally got my Town Sedan dissassembled last fall and ordered some repair panels for it. I took the body, fenders, etc to a bead blaster and had it blasted inside and out. I brought it home a got in primer before winter set in. I didn't get to work on it much until this spring. I now have the floor pans all repaired or replaced including replacing the spare tire well.
I bought rocker panels and rear quarter panels from Mill Supply last fall.
After about 3 days hard work I finally got the rocker panels fitted and installed. They were not fully rolled and were a very poor fit. I am now ready to install the rear quarter panels and find that the only part of them that fits decent is the fender well opening, althought it has too narrow a flange to cover the inner fender flange. I can't even attempt to use the upper portion where it fits around the tail light because of bad mould shape. I am glad that I don't have to replace the quarter panels that high up since they don't fit. However, it would have been nice if they had fit because that would have allowed the splice to be behind the stainless trim rather that mid-way between it and the wheel well.
