I've been talking this up to another 4x4 group I am active in called Stompers4x4. That is a really large group with some very bad ass vehicles. There seems to be some interest in getting some of those guys to come to an event. I really want this event to grow since it's so close to my house. I've been promoting it big time. Lots of questions have come up that I can't answer such as payout, start times, etc. When is there going to be more information available about the March 20th race? |

Hey Dean Just met with Larry and things are starting to fall into place we will be having 10 races this year starting March 20th. There will be a point series for the year and a awards ceremony at year end. Don't know the payout just yet and will get all race dates posted as soon as I get them.

Talk to Larry and see if you can get the entry fee changed from $35 to $20 in all classes. I'm getting a lot of feedback that the lower class vehicles (that just come out for fun) would be much more likely to compete if it only costed $20 to enter. Not everyone is there to win, some come just for the fun of it. I know thats where I'm at when I race at one of the stompers events. My truck can't compete so I just run for fun. If it costed $35 to run for fun, I wouldn't do it.
The thing thats going to keep this event alive is vehicle count. The lower the entry fee is, the more vehicles will show up to compete. $20 is kind of a standard in the mud racing community. Its not too much, but enough to build a good size pot for the winners. |
