I had the grind the case a little for clearance of the ring gear around the little pinion bearing. Also notice how I ground the bottom of the case down to eliminate hang-ups and make a smooth bottom

I added a drain to the 9inch so I don't have to crack the third member to change the gear oil after the gear break-in. Plus more oil will drain out the hole plug than could drain from the bottom of the third member openning. There is a magnet in there too, but magnets don't like Mig welders, so it now is non-magnetic.
