The cross I made for the adapter. I believe the dimension was 2 3/4 each way.
I used hollow 1" square stock and then filled it with 5000psi epoxy (I think it was 5000psi, it was the strongest I could get at the hardware store) after all the holes were drilled and everything was lined up.

Here it is on the arm without the coil seat.

The adapter to mount the 1980 coils to the 1979 radius arms

Another angle, hopefully between the two it is apparent what I did.

Here is the bottom with the spaced holes to match the 79 arm and the big bolt for the 80 coil with the head of the bolt ground down and welded on.

In place on the radius arm. Provides a 1-1.5 inch lift, but I need to test it still to see if it it tough enough

The truss I built, mostly for fun and looks, but it will function
Even though the housing is cast, the welds look great. Maybe it isn't totally cast? I don't know.

This will be my trackbar, eventually

Check out the displacement angle

There needs to be some trimming done

You can see what needs to change

Two brackets to strengthen and give a clean look

There are even 1/2" draining holes

Everybody should have an axle hoist!

Nearly ready to swing under the truck

I just have to fix the busted ARB locker fitting. You can't really see it, but the copper tube cracked and needs to be re-braised.
I rolled the rebuilt axle out of the garage for the first time. You can see the epoxy in the coil adapter at this point.
Should look pretty cool when installed...duh!

Axle set in place under the truck

Closer view, but not very clear. I will have better pictures on the next roll.

Everything clears, and looks like it will clear beyond this point.

My "swamper bumper": half of a 1.5" pipe welded across the radius arm so the swamper lugs glide smoothly over the arm. I saw it in an old Top Truck Challenge video.
