Kill the recirculation and allow the bubbler to pop the small bubbles, leaving just the floating KOH soap mat. Its not all soap, just the dark streaks. And this isn't all of the soap, I got another mat after firing the recirculation back up for another hour.

On the left is the total amount of floating KOH soap that I skimmed off, with a little bit of BD that separated back off on the right. I poured that back into the tank through the filter once I hung it.

Then I hang the dual-layer sock filter and got to town. 25/10um for an hour, and then 5/1 um filter for 2 hrs or more.

This is a water shake 'em test before the 4 layer filter (all 4 layers of filter in 1 filter).
