Here is the Boost-a-Spark (BAS) kit out of the plastic bag.

In the bag is a 4 psi pressure switch and some installation parts (vac tee, hose, solder, terminals)

The black box in the bottom left is the controller which will be mounted in the ca...

Since I want a factory appearing engine bay, the attractive anodized red finish had to go.

I painted the module a satin black color. I used a spare Ford harness sticker (from a corner lamp harness) to mimic a factory loom.

Don't really have a good picture yet, but here it is installed.

I mounted it to the side of the vacuum reservoir using self-tapping screws sealed with silicone. Works well.

I'm satisfied with the install, to the untrained eye it's just anothe...

The wiring was spliced into the coil power feed near the eec diode, under the relay center.

Normally the outside wire goes to the coils on panthers, not the case on mine. Guess it is hit or miss.

The splices are soldered and covered with adhesi...

The driver's window regulator decided to snap while moving/driving the car for the first time this year.
A little frustrating, but the repair is pretty simple and inexpensive.

Pictured here is the broken factory regulator, the cable has snapped. A c...

An overview of what had to be removed / drilled out to remove the regulator.

The window glass must also be removed, which can be done after first removing felt covered rubber inner molding.

Door panel removal info can be found on my webpage;

The rivets which attach the glass to the regulator sliding mechanism are the most difficult to remove. This position worked out well for me.

Stupid door pull bracket in the way, but a shallow 11mm socket with a ratchet made it a minor inconvenience.

non-issue for CV owners.

Drilling out the bottom rivets.

Once you drill them out, before using a hammer and punch STABILIZE the backside of the glass with some sort of backing (ie wood, or whatever you can come up with) so you don't crack / smash it!

The bottom rivet on the other side removed. As mentioned in an earlier pic, this hole is where the window motor wiring passes through and is what I used for access to this rivet.

Old and new.

The new regulator is an aftermarket Dorman part. Not my first choice, and I'd advise you use OEM/Ford - though it seems just fine.
My reasons for using the aftermarket part are simple:
My Ford dealer did not have the regulator in stock...

The replacement was secured using 1/4" hardware (bolts, washers, locknuts) rather than rivets. DO NOT overtighten the regulator->glass bolts!

Re-installing the glass is the opposite of removal - inset the...

With the glass removed, it's an ideal time to polish it out to remove any water spots/etching.

I've used both of these products with good results. The Zaino product, which was actually designed just for this, does work better by hand than the M105 a...

A picture speaks a thousand words.
This little image from the service manual shows exactly how you need to rotate the glass while lifting in order to remove it.

Once I slid the glass out, I put it right in the trunk so it was out of the way

It had been months since the engine was last cleaned. Although the car was driven 0 miles within this time, as expected there was a heavy dust and dirt accumulation.

I didn't have all day to spend on it or anything, but it is easy to clean up.

The sleeve was used so I could align the pieces while tacking together in-car.

It's ugly as hell (especially after the quick and dirty grinding lol) but effective. It is all covered by the stock fiberglass heat sleeve anyway.
