Recently purchased in the Netherlands, good shape, but needs some work, especially on the TBI System.
After 2 months of repair and restoration efforts, the Grand Marquis has passed the German TÜV inspection successfully and is now officially registered in Germany (see attached pics).
The fuel injection system now works well, the engine pulls strongly and unhesitatingly.
A new hood ornament has been installed.
A new pull strap on the inside of the driver's side door has been installed.
New "Mercury" and "Grand Marquis" emblems have been installed on the decklid.
New weatherstripping around the doors has been installed to end leakage in the rain.
Next on the agenda:
A new motor for the power window on the passenger side door.
A new motor for the power antenna.
Some welding and repainting around the trunk opening.

New Moog springs and Monroe shocks have replaced old units, which were worn out. Ride quality has improved considerably. New units were selected carefully in order to restore the original characteristic boulevard ride, not to make the suspension stiffer.
A new power window motor has been installed in the passenger side front door.
