Ah and yes, more duct tape under the hood. It died on me a few times, and I thought it was the battery from the way it was acting, so I replaced the almost new battery. It still acted up, so I replaced the alternator. And it finally worked. Unfortuna...

That blanket came with the car, and it went with the car. I didn't figure I needed an oddly colored plaid blanket. And yes, the speakers are duct taped to the front of the trunk, the owner before me didn't want to cut holes. Which made it impossible ...

The dash was cracked. It was fixed. If you can call electrical tape fixing it.

I took it to Kimble Motor sports and they fabbed up a new carburetor plate and redid the accelerator cable. It was ugly, but it worked.

My accelerator cable was frayed right near the carburetor, and broke on the way to school. I barely made it to school. I had a friend take me to autozone and I bought some flat strap and screws and went back and rigged up something to get me home.

01/03/08Repair Replaced the alternator
Because replacing the battery did not fix the charge/dying problem, we figured out it was the alternator. We bought a rebuilt alternator from schucks, this finally fixed the problem.
