After I got the hitch out of the way I was able to get to the last two rivots holding the last crossmember in place. After I took care of the last two rivots I pulled the crossmember out. Then I took the grinder and cut off the last bolt on the other crossmember. Once that bolt was out of the way I was able to pull that crossmember out.
Next I moved the crossmember to the truck frame and set them in place. And big surprise they are going to need to modifications to work in the new locations. The rear most crossmember is going to need to be modified so I can mount it. And the other crossmember is too short for the frame rails. I plan to run a gas tank out of a fullsize Bronco. So I am going to leave these crossmembers until I can get the tank I'm going to run. This way I won't have to redo the crossmembers if the tanks dimensions are different.
After I was done messing with the rear crossmembers I moved to the crossmember at the rear spring front mounts. I used a couple holes, left over from one of the crossmembers I removed, to locate the crossmember. I then sat it on top of the frame rails and marked the remaining four holes. Next I double checked the frame width to make sure I didn't need to pull the rails in. It was right on the mark. So I drilled out the holes. Then I moved the crossmember back to the underside of the top frame lip and bolted it in place. Once it was in place then I installed the two end braces.
