If you got an extended warranty with your purchase, just be aware that the K&N filter will void your warranty. I'm not knocking the K&N, just don't want you to lose your $$$.

I have not had any issues with my K&N filter voiding warranty work on my Excursion. The dealer hasn't said anything to me about it, either. Up until now I have always brought my Excursion in for 5K maintenance at the local Ford dealer that deals with fleet trucks.

Are most of you just replacing the stock filter element with the K&N or are you buying the whole cold air induction kit? Quite a cost difference and I wonder about the performance gains for the $$.

I'm also looking at the exhaust kit from Gibson. It seems to be one of the most reasonably priced kits. Anyone have experience with Gibson?

2K miles so far. The wife and I love it. My wife wanted to kill me when I sold our '96 F-350 -- I think I finally found a vehicle she'll accept as a reasonable replacement!

Thanks for the input...
