I have a new 03,6.0, 3000 miles,

??? mine is hunting at idle,650-800 rpm, this doesn't happen all the time.
Sure makes hard to backup and hook a trailer on.

Any input would be great. Is there a TSB out there??

Mine does the same thing. Are talking about for example at a stop light, your foot is on the brake yet it keeps jumping and the RPMs go up and down? Do you have an idea what causes this? Is this normal?

Kyle, Have a read

6.0 Rolling/Rough Idle (surge/lope) After Hot Restart:
Engineering is investigating a concern of an erratic idle after a hot restart. The condition may clear up on throttle tip-in. Currently there is no fix for this condition. If a truck exhibits these symtoms, unplug the engine oil temp sensor to see if the idle stabilizes. If it does, do not attempt a repair. Disconnecting the EOT sensor eliminates the initial injector actuation of the split shot sequence. Engineering has found that the cause of the rough idle is a problem in the programming for the initial injection.

I am not sure if I understand this correctly, but if I do, it is similar to what I have experienced.

To the best of my knowledge, it always happens after parking the truck for just a few minutes, then getting back inside and starting it. In reverse, the vehicle surges a bit, but I have never thought to actually monitor the RPM. It has done it forward once, but twice in reverse. It almost reminds me of a manual transmission when someone is not very good with the clutch and the vehicle surges.

Maybe I am talking about something completely different.
