I was thinking the same thing earlier. Maybe those beaches are more interesting than the keyboard.

I think he is retired! I know he stepped down(retired) over at www.ford-trucks.com as moderator. I think he and the wife were considering a trade on the beast... I will look for him over there tomorrow night late!

Hey cool! I just posted up in the top forum and then saw you guys were asking about me down here. *snif*

'Dog is right...I went to an Expy. We sold our Excursion (I made a profit!!) before moving. Too much hassle and risk to ship it. I feel it has a good home. I will definantly miss that truck. Lots of work and love went into it.

But I gotta tell ya...this new Expy is a fabulously engineered truck. The interior is 200% better than my Excursion and the seats rock. The IRS holds it's own on rough pavement and returns a great on-road ride. I've got a really cool pic in the album over at FTE with one wheel almost tucked and the other at almost full extension but the truck is perfectly level.

Truck would benefit from a V10 or PSD but the 5.4L is adequate.

I keep looking for another Ex. I may go 2WD this time around with a PSD and throw some 20s on it. *BLING!* There is one on the island and it looks tough.

I am going to start posting here again. Even though I don't have an Ex right now there is on definantly in my future. Plus I like to think I know a thing or two about 'em.

Thanks for thinking of me!

I'll see you guys on the board. Andif you ever come to the Big Island of Hawaii make sure you email me first so I can hook you up with some CHEAP accomodations. Plus I'll let you drive my sky-blue base model Dodge minivan!!!!! No really...no need to bow down...

Why settle for 20s when I'm sure the Excursion will fit 26s???

I haven't had an opportunity to check out the Expedition in person but all of the options that Ford lists online really makes it appear to be a very accomodating vehicle. They can get pricey, though...damn!

Hey, Ken/Monsta, good to hear from you again. Keep in touch.

BTW, be careful about offering those "cheap accomodations". One of us might actually take you up on it. My wife got a CME flyer in the mail a week or so ago. It is on one of the islands in April. It sounded really cool until we looked at the "special discounted rate" of $175/night plus 11.4% occupancy tax . The CME is seven days long! That would be $1170 We put that offer in File 13. Oh well, maybe someday.

I can get you a house on the beach for $50 a night.

To answer your other question from above...

NO frowning on big vehicles here in the BIG island. Seems the Super Duty is the vehicel of choice. The Island of Hawaii is definantly FORD country!!!

Only about 8 Exs. Couple of diesels. One with a 14" lift...beautiful.

Fuel is expensive here. Think: $2.30 for 87 & 2.27 for diesel. No highways. Just 2 lane roads all over an area as big as Conneticut. Still, most trucks are PSDs.

I'm a glutten for punishment. I'm looking for a V10. Just thinking about 4.30's, V10, 2WD makes me squirelly all over.

Of course...a chipped PSD makes me squirelly too. Just too common that's all.
