the urban x was a/ or is now going to be a completely redone street ride. it is an 03 psd x, with a western diesel quad power chip, ram air, exhaust, 4.5" suspension drop on the 4x4, 22" foose spanks, and a killer audio system, (5.1 audio with 6 screens and navigation) new upgrades this time are a custom dakota digital gauge cluster, custom leather, custom center consoles, new carpet, all panels redone in alcantara suede, suede headliner, 4 15" drop down monitors for the rear passengers, the 2nd row of captain chairs moved back 8", and the 3rd seat moved back 20". that's just the basics.

as for the suede, alcantara is an itailian synthetic suede that is the most durable, uv resistant, synthethic on the planet. it almost costs as much as the real stuff but will last alot longer. it can only be imported from europe, and is widely used in benz's, bmw's, audi, porsche, lamborghini's, and brabus benzs'.

urban x was the name that someone on this forum gave it a year ago, when it was the old forum, i've been out for a while... and it is an extreme urban cruising vehicle

What are you doing with the old custom center console?

going to cut the front of it off and toss the other 99% in the trash. it got pretty beat up, plus i didn't like it, then to try and sell it off wouldn't work because the front of it housed the center channel for the theater system.

I like the vents...Where did you get them? Are they from another car? They look like H2 vents.

With all that money into it and wieght, I cant imagine why the tranny and torque converter are stock. That would be the first $3500 I would spend before kick ass audio or security. And once you get a real tranny youll find the Western Diesel chip is garbage and it will be time to track down Gearman Mike and get a TTS Chip. But thats just my .02 cents Look forward to seeing the finished product.

CWBYINAJEEP,

I was wondering your complaints about the western diesel chip, quad power setup with the exhaust and ram air? seeing when i was on the old forum last year, everyone swore by it, and actually a few people who emailed me still do. this isn't my vehicle, it's a customers, and alot of reaserch and development went into hand picking the parts to go in it. we always pick the parts that are proven, tried, tested, backed by a company that won't be out of business in a day, has been around for a long time, are specialists, have an awesome crew and technicians who are enthusists, and at any time we can, run with a product that was made and designed in the USA. western diesel met and still meets that criteria today. as for the performance of the excursion and the western diesel setup, the customer has had no complaints and is thrilled with it. this is coming from an owner of the f-150 lightning, lamborghini diablo vt, and an s600 benz, he just wanted something different from most excursions out there. the tranny was done out of a shop in arizona, when we picked up the vehicle in minesota, we noticed it to be sloppy, and our tranny guy here is too busy with race cars to play with it, so we had him take it to a shop in az, that was recommended by our tranny man.

the a/c vents are from the new f-150, we stuck with a ford part . ii hope that clears up the western diesel thing, he doesn't race it and .01 times aren't his concerns, he just occasionally likes to smoke a honda si while towing his horses

im not a huge fan of those gauges though. Why those and not something more creative?

the gauges will flow nice with the install, you have to see it when it is done, when the other pods are put in and covered, it will look nice. the creativity lies within the interfacing all the wires to pcm.
