Received an interesting "twist" of a testimonial ... from someone who doesn't even own an Excursion ... yet. A fellow wrote to inquire about the radius-rods, and if they would fit an '05. He likes the Excursion a lot, and wishes to purchase a new one, but said he will not buy one unless he can get a set of radius-rods. I'm honored 'cause this guy is making his decision on a big-$$$ vehicle purchase dependent on whether or not he can get the radius-rods. Wow! BTW, if he couldn't get the rods, he said he'd buy an F350 SRW crew-cab. |

Just a little additional info for y'all. When I receive a deposit, I send an e-mail to the sender just to let him or her (yes, women have bought the R-rods) know that it arrived. So, if anyone has sent a deposit, and you haven't heard from me in a reasonable amount of time, I did not receive it.
I've also had some requests for radius-rod kits to fit some X's lifted "way up there." I haven't said this online before, and I regret that my info-pack doesn't include it (yet), but I must limit the application of radius-rods to Excursions that have not been lifted MORE tha 4-1/2 inches. If you went 5 inches or higher, I'm sorry. |

Just wondering... I have owned several new Econolines since 1976. The last was a 97 15 pass. V10. They all wandered as if the driver had had a few too many. I attributed most of this to the Twin I Beam front end. No amount of front end work or experimentation totally fixed it. Maybe the rear was steering some due to "axle wrap". My 04 Excursion sure needs the radius rods. Any thoughts?? |

Hmmm ... I may take a peek beneath an E-Series during my next dealer visit.
On another note: Someone named Gary sent me an e-mail on 2/16/05, and said he had been stationed in this area a couple times in the past. On the downside, his e-mail address was hidden, and I could not send a reply. |

Installed Landyot's Gen I Radius Rods on my '00 X this weekend (went with Gen I because I have Firestone Air Bags installed). Hooked up my 9500 lb 40' boat trailer and was smiling the entire time. Was able to drive in a relaxed, fingertips-on-wheel manor instead of the white knuckle grip. They performed exactly as has been much discussed. Together with the front and rear Helwig sway bars, I cannot brag enough at what an improvement the ride and control of the vehicle are. Everyone who reads this forum should make this mod.

The finger-tip driving as toytower describes is very, very nice. Two thumbs up from the wife, too...always a bonus when it comes to mods.

i suspect someone has been trying to snail-mail a payment to me because the mailman has left a notice yesterday and today in my mailbox. Unfortunately, nobody was home when delivery has been attempted. So, I guess I'll have to wait until he leaves a notice asking me to pick up whatever it is from the post office. That'll probably happen tomorrow, meaning I won't have a chance to go get it until Monday afternoon. Imagine ... from Wednesday of this week until Monday of next week to deliver one piece of mail from a post office that's only two miles away ... and they call this service "Express Mail"??? Sheesh!!! |

Oddly enough, there was no notice in today's mail. I figured after 3 tries, they'd leave a note asking me to come pick it up. Maybe the USPS is going to return it to sender. Who knows? |
