Bart

Hi Bart, you should be hearing from LANDYOT soon enough as he's pretty good with replying emails

Ken,I assisted a friend with the installation of the rear sway bar on his 2002 Excursion 7.3L last week and he too had disintegrated snubbers with the passenger side having the worst of damage like ours.

Yes indeed. What a great guy to deal with. He advised as to my needs, educated, and shipped very fast. I am expecting them any day. Will follow up after the install. I cannot say enough great things about the man. He sure stands behind his product and customers. If the rods are half as good as him, I am in for a great treat !

CHP, you were right. I didn't see any comments from anyone, not that they aren't there...just haven't read all 30+ pages of testimonials, but after the install, the first thing I noticed while backing out of my broken up driveway was much more stability!
Second, when I came to a stop, I thought wow, was that my imagination or was that a real stop for the first time! So I tried heavier braking and it was true! She stops with much more emphasis now!

So, I didn't get the trip last weekend like I had planned, but driving to/from work and around town, I have to agree with everyone....this is the most significant change one could do to the excursion for enhanced ride, handling, stability, and stopping as well as reducing the wandering on the road!

Overall, the installation was not hard. The only part I struggled with was cutting off the old traction bar springs. It took approx. 45-55 minutes for each one using a cutoff wheel with my air tool. I had to wait for the air to build up (6hp compressor too) for this effort. But, end result was a very nice clean cut.

The GenIII's are top notch. Ken, these things look like they were manufactured by a company! You are one truely professional guy! You answered all my questions, had quick response and the product is top notch! No, I don't know Ken, this is true testimony!

I am travelling this weekend, so will be great to see how she does. Short trips approx. 15 miles to/from work on the interstate so far has demonstrated very little steering wheel adjustments to keep her straight, so I can only imagine how pleasant it will be to not look up and find myself in another lane when looking in the rear view or placing my drink in the holder!

KEN, my hat is off to you sir! Thank You one more time!

Sorry, this is a repost after I inadvertedly posted on the wrong forum. I finally got to drive my 2004 LTD 4wd PSD X with the Landyot Radius Rods installed. Did it make a difference? NIGHT AND DAY...
When I purchased my truck with 34,000 miles, it didn't drive exactly like a car. I can't say that it was bad, just uncomfortable in that it needed this constant "little" steering corrections. You know, the ones that just don't let you steer one-handed without fatiguing the wrist. I maintain all my vehicles to the letter of the book and before complaining, I brought it to my local dealer who changed the tierod ends, balanced the tires and did an alignment, everything to factory specs. Did it change anything? NO. I took the diesel and truck tech on the road with me, and as he put it "This truck is riding nice and straight. However these are heavy vehicles and they tend to follow the road". Searching the net, I googled and found the Landyot Rods. I already had the factory sway bars and steering damper. While it made sense I was sceptical at to what degree it would alter the trucks driving behaviour. But hey, the cost was very reasonable, it didn't seem that hard to put them on, and it didn't involve any major suspension modification. I installed them "analy precise", and made sure my axle measurements were perfect.
It is like a new vehicle. Precision tracking with one finger steering, effortless braking in line. Drives like a car. I would have never thought the effect was THAT profound. All I can say is THANK YOU!!! This is what the Excursion should have had from the factory. It made a great vehicle FANTASTIC...and NO, I have no financial relationship with Ken (A senior moment called you Mike in my previous post)

ROBERTH & 4WDBeast - Thank you kindly for your words. As I've discovered a few years back, words like yours are what truly make it all worthwhile to me. I am elated that you're both happy with the improvements provide by the radius-rods. And it is me who should thank y'all for taking the time to post your opinions here. Thank you both!
