I understand that the EX is not desighned for plowing. Could be kinda risky.
Ford has done some fancy stuff with the front end of the EX for collision purposes so you might want to be carefull.
Dave.

Its more for my own sanity with work that to plow for $.
A few people have mentioned some stuff abotu special front ends. The chassis in fron of mine matches our 03 F series exactly. No special crumple zones on the chassis rails. |

There should be no problem at all. The other day I saw an Excursion with the old style plow mount system on it were the lights stay on the truck.
I've got a 8.5ft. western pro plow on my 99PSD F250 and no modifications were done to the front suspension. There is no problem with putting that weight on the front of a Ford superd duty I was told. Other trucks you need a a couple inch lift up front to acomodate the plow weight.
This is my third winter with the plow and have raked up $20 for plowing!!! Personal use only. Actually if I plowed for extra cash I would rather do it in style and comfort in my wife PSD X!!!

Funny, actually rust sucks up here bigtime, usually five years and rust will start to show up. There's salt everywere when it snows.
Scubadiving is fun, my wifes uncle is licensed and he let me go down this summer with his equipment up at his cabin. I need to go to school and become licensed I think, Lake Superior is only 4-5 hours away, lots of sunken vessels to look at.
