We've had some nights in the low single digits here, and my truck does not come inside for the night. I have not had any starting issues yet (knock on wood), and have not even looked for the heater plug.

I've always used BP/Amoco for gasoline, and now for diesel. They advertise "no fuel line freeze up, or BP pays the tow". I'm not sure if that carries over to their diesel as well, but so far, so good.

Orf,

"no fuel line freeze up, or BP pays the tow".

Actually that tale does not pertain to diesel.... Most, at least in NJ, vendors purchase diesel from outside vendors. Look closely at the pump and there should be in small print, "This fuel supplied from outside vendor not a product of BP"

The vendor supplies them with the same fuel as heating oil just dyed for tax reasons. So, those huge tanks you see on the side of the road are subject to heat and cold causing condensation and that ultimately ends up in our tanks. It is up to the vendor how that fuel is cut with additives reducing the freezing. You should see at truck stops "we supply #1 diesel". This is Diesel already with additives reducing gelling. It's usually $.05 more per gallon.

Don,

The anti-gel stuff is awesome!! Truck gelled at 11 degrees... As you know it has been brutal the last few days and she fires up like a CHAMP everytime. Worked at Nwk Liberty last night for 18hrs, took a minute to get warm but no stutter or hesitation....

Thanks agains!
