Hey JohnBoy,
Glad to hear your tuner is working well with the new 6.0L powertrain. I looked into getting a Diablo programmer and it appears I can only get it from the US. Canadian truck shops, at least in Ottawa, leave a little to be desired. How is the new powertrain handling the extra power? If my memory is correct your running a manual transmission with the 6.0 PSD. Any spring wrap problems?

I remember where I read you had a manual transmission! It's at the below link.
http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/displaygallery.php?userid=59556 Anyway, Cool looking truck...I wanted the Blk/Blk/Blk very evil looking, but I grapped my X during the 0% year end sale! Not many colors to be had so I got the white. I guess I'm going for that wolf in sheep's clothing look I would love to try the programmer before I buy it. HMMMMmmm Coming to Canada anytime soon?? Thanks for the link very tempting.

Hey John,
Thanks for your generous offer! My garage was able to track down a programmer for me in Oakville Ontario near Toronto.
Here's the link for other Canadians EH! http://www.brpowersource.com/ They just got a fresh batch of Diablo programmers with the tranny update. Price is about $699.00. They will do a free trial and a 30 day money back. Oh yeh, John your hunting the wrong animal! not SVT......HEMI |

'splain that $699 figure for me I hope that's canadian and 2 to 1 ratio or there abouts...
I think their running no more than $419 American here... ?!?
But even at $699 - they are worth it !!!!
REALLY a kick in the pants !!!
And I found a turbo back yesterday really reasonable and had it put on today...
MY GOODNESS - what a difference - I thught ford put that wrap around the downpipe for heat protection or sound insulation !!!!!
WRONG - they put it there to hide the CRUSHED downpipe it is amazing the difference ! Now I may fly to NYC in the Ex instead of the plane

Jim thanks for the thought.......I have two ways now to get a programmer. One is via my garage....they get some sort of discount or I'll try to pick one up in SAN FRAN when I'm down their for training. Maybe I'll have motorhaven send one to my hotel while in SAN FRAN rather then trying to find one....
John tells us more about your down pipe upgrade.....what size? was it hard to do? Do you have pictures of the flatten stock one vs the new one.

As far as a souce for the diablo.. you can't go wrong with Motorhaven... good guys there !
*****************
Yes, the turbo back was hard to do...
course I wasn't the one doing !
Had a local shop here do it for me... they've done a lot of my work since I found them...
good guys, inexpensive, and knwoledgeable for the most part...
after I saw the battle they had getting the downpipe out... glad I didn't try it...
But, of course, they are the type that try to save everything they can and finally cut the downpipe shorter so it would come out...
and having had the predator 100HP program in it for over a week, I knew how it performed and reacted... noticed MUCH better response down low after the turbo bck was installed...
even WITH the cat still in there...
Really like the difference...
set the truck back to stock today after the drag strip playing and still think it performs well without the programmer and with the turbo back....
**********************************
Darn Choctaw Bob... now he's going to make me go spend some more on mods to get a little more omph to counteract my slow reaction times Do you know he even rubbed it in and sent me a virtual christmas tree to practice on ?
The NERVE of the guy I know Bob - just trying to help again, aren't you
