Doesn't the X run an independent front suspension? | Nope. Crawl under the front end. Live axle, coil springs in the front, leafs on the rear.

Roger | Except on the 4X4's you get leaf springs front and rear. The 2X4's have coil springs and the twin I-beam front axle.

And one more correction...(I think)
Super Dutys & Excursion do not use a twin I beam.
COntrol arms and coils up front on 2WD. Solid axle out back.
2 solid axles on 4WD. With leaves all around.

Your comparing the Deisel X to the gas Suburban, you really are talking apples and oranges. I really don't like the definitive "better tow vehicle" when talking about something that is as much a sense of feel as it is engineering! I have towed with both and feel they both are sweet and and which is "better" IS a matter of opinion! |
