I'm still taking shots with my ol Olympus 1.3 mp

I'm leaning towards the Coolpix or the Digital Rebel currently.

I've got a several-year-old FujiFilm digital camera with this really innovative feature called digital zoom.

CHP, go with an optical-zoom camera if/when you do decide on one. Digital zoom is worthless. What I end up doing to "zoom" is walking closer or further away from the object in the view finder. It looks very professional at car shows when I'm snapping pics!

That's one reason why I'm looking at the Digital Rebel SLR type, just like an old school 35mm but stores the pics on a memory card

Being able to use different lenses and macros I think picture quality will be on the more positive side.

I also have a fuji s2pro digital slr, One thing you have to remember is that a 50 mm lens for a 35 mm camera becomes a 75mm lens on most digital slrs (Kodak is the exception). This means that you need extreme wide angles to do many full length car or truck shots.

The reason is, that the ccd capturing the image is smaller than a 35 mm negative.

Good wide angles for digital ie: 16mm (which is like a 24 mm 35 lens) are pretty pricey.

Just a heads up, all 05 Powerstrokes have the block heater. What many don't have is the heater cord, it's only supplied in certain cold weather states. You only need to purchase the cord, it's about $10 I'm told. Also, from what I have read you can find your block heater above / behind your starter motor. For more info, check thedieselstop.com and do a search on block heaters / heater cords.

Isn't that something else? Block heater is installed but the cord must be purchased separately, gotta be one of those cost savings measures by ford just like deleting the glovebox light and underhood liner
