Very nice...love the look of the lifted X -- really like those wheels!

Also, noticed the pic of the X in the garage...you must have an 8ft garage door?

It's 8ft for sure, my stock X just slide in under 7ft.....Nice looking truck, the lift make all the difference!

Hitch,

Looks great. It that the same X shown with damage in 1/03? Looks like you kissed a tree.

I love the truck. It's the perfect addition! I have a question for you:
Since the lift still uses the stick springs, do you still feel that the springs have such little flex to them? I mean, the stock springs only have a few inches of flex to them, so does the Donohoe lift do anything for that?

I really like the lifts that include new front springs for the better springs rates, but your lift looks GREAT! I may consider Donohoe now for my new Excursion. I just hate that I only get a couple of inches in flex from the front when I hit a bump or go offroad.

K Bigs...yes that is the same X that was wrecked...wife slid sideways into the end of a wood fence...took the body shop about 2 months to fix.

J-Douglas...we haven't had the X of road yet, so I can't really answer your question...it handles on road very well though.

I am thinking of adding the Donahoe Racing 4.5" lift, and 315's to my 03 Eddie Bauer X. How do you like the ride? Did you have to do any cutting so the tires would not rub? How about steering agronomics? Any drive shaft vibration, or did you modify it? Did you get a deal on the kit? Pictures look great. I share the X with my wife, she is not to happy I want to lift the truck. She says it is already hard enough to get the kids in their seats. Did this lift make the truck unreasonably high? I have taken my X off road and can't stand the fact it bottoms out over every little bump, that is why I want a lift. I don't want to loose the plush ride of the X, that is why I was looking at the Donahoe Racing Lift. Hows the cornering, do you feel like the X is going to tip around corners?
