Cool deal!!!!! I even have a 10k hoist that we can put your Ex up on if need be. I've had mine up there several times. It's a tight fit with the roof, lol.

It's when you cut a 6"x2" hole in front of the intake tube opening on the grille support panel, this action unblocks the turbulent opening and provides the much needed air for the Powerstroke engine powered Excursions.

I used a standard 2" holesaw to acheive this mod

I would like to here from people that have boosted there fuel pressure, i mean BOOSTED. I saw a spring at the Gillette diesel site. It is advertised to be of a better material than stock and set the pressure at 95psi. I have done a boost now at 75psi but I have tested up to 130psi where the pump stalls. 130psi to 100psi has almos no differance. 75psi to 100psi is huge. Anybody else try this. I was exited about the performance at the higher pressure but have never seen any discusion or tech talk about it.

I had a baseline of 58 psi then brought it up to 71-72 psi, what a difference in acceleration and reduction in engine noise

International specification is around 72psi and Ford's is 58psi.

Any ya'll in the Dallas area that needs their 7.3L's FPR bumped up I attend a mod day once a month and usually can knock out the job in less than 45 minutes,I'm also referred to as the resident guru by my friends on this performance upgrade.

Any pressure over 72psi is do at your own risk as the stock fuel pump could go south sooner and also gain a bunch of fuel leaks from pump to injectors.

Eventually, I'm going to make it to one of those NTPA meets.

Kevin you can be considered one of the locals if you'll be attending the annual PowerStroke Rally this May 19-21 as there's owners pulling 5th wheelers in from San Diego and Idaho to name a couple for starters

Comon out Saturday for the eatins and races at Redline Raceway,we got a cabin for the whole weekend so we don't miss anything!
