tfalk
What are you towing and how much tounge weight? Or is it cargo weight?
Please keep me informed on what works for you.
Im towing a Poker Run boat so its a weekend hauler, the rest of the week its just to the office and back.
Are you doing the work yourself or are you using a shop to do the upgrades? Ill do most of it myself if I have the time.

I'm towing a 24 foot enclosed car trailer. When I had the 'big' problem a couple of weeks ago,
I had a friends 96 Mustang in the trailer. Best guess since I didn't have a tongue weight scale
at the time is around 1100. Slightly over the 1000 tongue weight for the Reese hitch I had at the time. I'm using an Equalizer now... Trailer and car should have been around 8K combined.

I just mailed the check for the radius arms, I bought a 1 inch rear helper spring that will replace the snubber when install the radius arms. I'm ordering new rims and tires this week as well. I will be doing all the work - I previously installed a leveling kit on the 99 F250 I had before the EX. I think I'm going to change the front springs as well, probably go to U or V's

Please keep us informed.
Im towing similar weights and it seems the '05 Excursions are a little different then the previous years. Id like to know what works for you.
Im looking at the Hellwig sway bars, Firestone Air Bags, a leveling kit, exhaust, and wheels. Just trying to make it through the Poker Run season and see what else breaks on the boat before I start ordering for the truck.

Good thing you posted that :-) That reminds me, I ordered the superduty rear sway bar to replace the 24mm one that came on my 05. They said it should be in today, I'll have to call the stealer and see if it showed up or not.

So tfalk whats up with that rear sway bar. Did it make the suspension any better? How is the EX now? I also have an 05 4X4 but mine has a 3" DR lift with Bilstiens all around. I also have the Landyot radius rods but I must say this thing can get a little scarry at times. I am also running about 1/4" to 1/2" low in the rear right know cause I added a 5" block in the back but remove the snubber bar completly. That may be causing some issues.

2005 EX 6.0 4X4 EB, 3" DR, 33" MT ATZ's, Landyot RR, Hoodblanket, Weather stripping mod, Zoodad, MBRP, Outlook, Midland CB, more to come...
