Afternoon everyone, I am getting ready to install a exhaust system and I was wondering what tips most of you who have installed after market exhausts have.... I am leaning toward the BANKS style tip (turn down style) as the X is a classy but fun vehicle and this tip promotes that look (IMHO) BUT that 5inch rolled tip is so damn mannish looking, please help me  ...
If anyone has any pictures it would help me make up my mind, thanks in advance!!!!!

Ray, go look at the photos I took of my new Magnaflow exhaust system. It's a 4" exhaust with a 5" tip. Click on my name to see the photos.

Thanks for the pics, appreciate the visual (all the X's I have seen around here still are running the stock exhaust)....
QQ: How does your exhaust sound between 60-70 MPH? The way it was explained to me was that "some" exhausts have a annoying resonating hum in the mid-range. Wife is all for me making the truck work, sound and look better as long as she does not know she is ina diesel while riding in her seat (works for me  )

Hey Ray,
Funny you should ask about the mid range sound or should I call it a drone. You don't hear the engine [to tell if it's a diesel] but there is an annoying drone if there is a slight amount of throttle used. Flat and level you hardly notice. When you really get on the throttle, the sound is quite impressive. I would like to lose the drone though.

I did the guages and intake today, love the guages  and the intake gives a quicker pedal response  
Friend of mine has this exhaust on his 6.0 F350 and I love the sound at idle and while cruising so I'm going to be picking up and installing this exhaust system this weekend http://www.mbrp.com/... From a proven mechanic, they sell a resonator which will kill that drone you have (not sure if MagnaFlow sells one)...
PS: Now I see why everyone talks about playing with their truck, I could barely keep my foot out of the floor coming home

Really looked forward to get the exhaust done but ughhhhhh  the exhaust is on backorder... All they have in stock is stainless cat-back and or aluminum full system instead of the stainless full system I wanted... Damn, now I gotta tow out to Indy with the factory system

Hey Ray,
I tried to see the site you referred to, however, nothing comes up. "Can't find it". You mentioned a "Cat Back" system. Does your diesel have a catalytic converter? There is none on the 7.3 PSD

Okay, that link worked. Funny thing is that's the same place I got my Magnaflow exhaust system from. It was $440.00. No shipping or tax. It arrived within 2 days. The Magnaflow looks just like the one you are getting EXCEPT for that red thing. Must be the cat.

Did you get the aluminum or stainless exhaust? Yes, I think the red part is the cat... Cool part getting parts from this place, no shipping, I get there in about 30 minutes, 45 if the traffic is heavy
