Does anyone know what to do?I have a stream of white smoke out the tail pipe truck runs fine 31 psi of boost oil leakage around exhaust side of turbo or exhst housing and around where the 4" down pipe connects oil residue some oil on the bottom side also.is this turbo seal prob or injector prob? or do i need to pull the turbo out to find out? is this hard ?does anyone have instructions on how to? HELP! |

just been thinking a lill and seems to me since turbo is working good maybe it is an injector prob. just a guess tomarrow i will dig in to it more haven't had a whole lot of time.

150k miles on a 7.3L I'd put a firm vote in for worn injector O-rings.
The oily residue you observe at the boot connections is normal as the oil is introduced by the Crankcase vent system.
One way to eliminate the residue is accomplished by the CCV Bypass Mod

I put a diesel innovations fuel pressure fit and guage on last week would this have caused the inj.(if that's what itis)oring to fail? I am running at 69 psi on that. it was at 57psi. is that to much psi? i do have one of the diesel sites X mod for oil pressure readings will this relieve some crank case pressure? i am probably going to install today.i will also look at the thread you replied with thanks again. |

Thanks chp mustang for the thought but it ended up being bad turbo seals pulled the turbo yesterday and lots of play.ordered up a rebuilt with shipping for 510.00 thats overnite shipping too.

thanks again! | Whod you end up ordering the rebuilt from? Might wanna keep the numbers down under 25psi to avoid having to do it again in the near future
