do these temps stay cooler at normal driving?if so,i would dump it. i would not use anything else but a tru cool. the tru cool channels the fluid through the cooler when needed.it bypasses through the top tube when cooling is not needed. get into some cold climates and you can kill your trans if it is not hot. do some homework before you start bying cheap hotrod outdated stuff.
Mike;
The B&M coolers work much like the tru-cool unit; it is a stack plate design and will bypass when fluid is cold. I believe just the fact that I have moved the cooling in front of the radiator rather than in between the radiator and ac unit gets that much better ambient air over the unit.
And BTW, I did do my homework on coolers before resorting to "buying cheap hotrod outdated stuff". I have looked at the current stackplate design of the tru-cool unit vs. the B&M and in all honesty can't tell the difference in quality. Just how many mfg company out there actually make their own coolers vs. how many company buy from one manufacturer to rebadge under their own brand products.

I get high readings but it is picking up the heat from cylinders(sp?)

coming back (85 degrees) and humid tranny 185--210 mostly 185
coming back (85 degrees) and humid motor 210--240 mostly 230
After this trip(X was flawless)I will get a second aux cooler and mount it out front. What size should I get, Wifey is Mgr at AutoZone and will be looking at B&M.
I put 1800 miles on her in 9 days and the X was awesome! I set the 9000x's on 5 in the rear and 4 on the front and she towed like a dream. According to the truck computer total average on the trip was 10.0 even... 1032 miles towing and the rest was solo in the smokies
